I'm Martynas Samuilovas, a software engineer & consultant based in Europe. I build systems end to end — from .NET backends and cloud infrastructure to the React interfaces people actually use — and I'm equally happy digging into a gnarly bug as I am designing a new architecture from scratch.

Right now I'm building a cloud cost management platform (.NET 9 + Next.js) that helps teams find and eliminate cloud waste, and I run quantitative research into systematic trading strategies — including a live momentum strategy that trades real money on rules I backtested and validated myself. Both taught me the same lesson: the hard part isn't writing code, it's knowing what to measure and being honest about the results.

This site is where I write about what I'm learning — cloud costs and FinOps, algorithmic trading, and pragmatic full-stack engineering — and where I share the projects I build along the way.
